Shakespeare & Co.'s Tina Packer to appear on The Charlie Rose Show tonight

LENOX - Shakespeare & Company's founding artistic director Tina Packer, critically acclaimed star and creator of "Women of Will," will be a guest on The Charlie Rose Show tonight, Wednesday, March 13. The Charlie Rose Show airs in the New York area on WNET Channel 13 at 11:00 p.m.

"Women of Will" is the masterful summation of Packer's 40-plus years spent investigating all things Shakespeare; it is an engrossing exploration of the Bard's art and psyche as seen through the eyes of his female characters and portrayed by two of Shakespeare's greatest modern interpreters - Packer and long-time award-winning actor Nigel Gore.

Directed by Eric Tucker, this groundbreaking exploration of Shakespeare's canon follows the journey of over a dozen of the Bard's female characters, from Beatrice in "Much Ado About Nothing," Juliet in "Romeo and Juliet" to Lady Macbeth in "Macbeth" and everyone in between.

Packer will perform at Shakespeare & Company this summer in Martin McDonagh's "The Beauty Queen of Leenane." For complete information on Shakespeare & Company's 36th Performance season visit: Or call the box office at (413) 637-3353.
