Sheffield: Land Trust offers lecture on historic barns


The historic barns of New England will be the subject of the 16th annual winter lecture of the Sheffield Land Trust at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, at Dewey Memorial Hall.

A trio of experts will discuss how to identify, document, restore and preserve historic barns in the Berkshires.

The panel includes photographer Steve Donaldson; David Lanoue, contractor and expert in early barn restoration; and Jack Sobon, architect and timber-frame specialist.

The lecture is free and open to the public, although donations are welcome.
