Sheffield: Parish to hold annual silent auction

Monday October 1, 2012

Christ Church Episcopal and Trinity Lutheran Church will hold the 13th annual silent auction from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, in the Parish Hall and on the church grounds at the corner of Route 7 and Maple Avenue.

The silent auction will have over 250 lots of antiques; silver, glass and china collectibles; art, jewelry, furniture, handmade items, household and garden items, and gift certificates from Berkshire venues.

New this year is a cash-and-carry Purple Tent. Homemade lunch will be available and house bids will be managed for people who want to place bids early in the day.

Admission is free and parking is available.

Other community events scheduled this fall include the annual Christmas bake sale and participation in the Sheffield Christmas Tree Lighting and Advent Service in early December.
