Thursday February 7, 2013

State Sen. Benjamin B. Downing, D-Pittsfield, announces that his first Coffee & Conversation event of 2013 will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 11, at Shelburne Town Hall, 51 Bridge St., in the Selectmen’s Room.

In an attempt to be accessible to all constituents, Downing typically hosts 10 Coffee & Conversation open forums in rotating towns across his district throughout the year. In 2013, he plans to host the first four events in the four new communities he represents: Shelburne, Buckland, Blandford and Chester.

All are welcome to join Downing and his district staff to pose a question, submit a comment or pitch an idea regarding state government.

Downing provides free coffee and refreshments to those who attend.
