Snow makes travel tough in parts of Southern Vermont, Western Mass.
Snow is making travel difficult in parts of Southern Vermont and Western Massachusetts on Tuesday.
Vermont's Route 9 was shut down briefly on Tuesday afternoon in Searsburg, Vt., because trucks were unable to make the steep climb, according to Vermont State Police. Earlier in the day, a tractor trailer overturned on Route 91 north of Brattleboro when a car skidded into it, state police said. No one was injured.
A winter weather advisory remained in effect until 6 p.m.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service say up to four inches of snow could accumulate throughout Southern Vermont and Berkshire County in Massachusetts by the early evening.
"The snow intensity is not going to be overly heavy," National Weather Service meteorologist Ian Lee said
The snowfall should be over by 8 p.m., Lee said.
