Spectrum Playhouse: Sweet, Rothberg perform Saturday

LEE -- Bobby Sweet and Adam Rothberg and Friends will be performing in concert Saturday evening at 7:30 at Spectrum Playhouse.

Admission is free. Sug gested donation is $10.

A Berkshire native and sixth-generation musician, Sweet began his perfoming career in his father's band at age 7. As a performer, he has shared the bill with some of the top country and folk artists, including Vince Gill, Bill Staines, Bill Morrissey, Deana Carter, Bryan White, Arlo Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Jonathan Edwards, and Saw yer Brown.

Sweet toured in 2008-09 with Arlo Guthrie's Lost World Tour, and again with Guthrie in 2010-11 on his Journey On Tour.

Singer-songwriter, multi-in strumentalist, producer Adam Rothberg's credits include a European tour playing guitar and mandolin with Joan Baez, co-producing Dar Williams' seminal CD "The Honesty Room" and backing many well-known singer/songwriters including Amy Speace, Kat Goldman, and children's performer Vanessa Trien. He has shared stages with Cliff Eberhard, Mark Olssen (The Jayhawks), Victoria Williams, Bill Morrisey, Cowboy Junk ies, and many more.

Sweet and Rothberg have been playing and recording music together since the early 1990s.
