Spencertown, N.Y.: Kitchen tour benefits local church

The Friends of St. Peter's Church announce their second annual Kitchen Tour fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 24.

The event kicks off with an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at Austerlitz Historical Society, Route 22, Austerlitz.

Richard Bourdon, owner and head baker at Berkshire Mountain Bakery in Housatonic, Mass., will present "The Art of Breadmaking" at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Church, 2519 County Route 7.

The kitchen tour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday includes seven local kitchens. Directions can be picked up at St. Peter's Church.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.friendsofsaintpeters.org or call 518-392-9695 for reservations. Tickets for the program and the tour will also be sold at the church on Saturday.
