Springfield police continue to probe 2 killings

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) - Police have identified the second of two people slain over the weekend in separate shootings in Springfield.

Brandon Daniels was shot multiple times at about 10 p.m. Saturday outside a bodega following an argument with several other men.

Family and friends say the 29-year-old Daniels was a father of three children who worked at an area Dunkin' Donuts.

Daniels was shot just hours after 25-year-old Adriana Bonet was gunned down at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday in a parking lot next to a pizza restaurant. Two men she was with were also struck after an argument with another group of people.

No arrests have been made in either shooting.

There have now been 14 homicides in the city this year.
