State auditor to speak Wednesday at Chamber function
PITTSFIELD -- State Auditor Suzanne M. Bump will be the keynote speaker on Wednesday when the Berkshire Chamber of Commerce holds its first Good News Business Salute of 2014 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
The event takes place from 7:45 to 9 a.m. The cost is $25 for Berkshire Chamber members, and $35 for non-members. It includes a breakfast buffet. Tickets are still available.
Bump, who owns a home in Great Barrington, will discuss her mission to make government work better, and speak on the need for a new proactive approach to accountability and oversight to curb the waning tide of public confidence in government.
The Chamber will also recognize Berkshire Business Builders, Dayspring Realtors Inc., Qualprint and Riverbrook Residence Inc. at Wednesday's gathering.
