Chamber members hosting late night local shopping
Seeking to make holiday shopping more accessible for Berkshire residents, a group of 11 downtown Stockbridge shops will offer late night Friday shopping during the holiday season.
The shops will stay open until 8 p.m. Fridays beginning today, and running through Dec. 18.
The downtown Stockbridge Chamber of Commerce members participating in the event include: An American Craftsman; Elm Street Market,; Heirlooms Jewelry; Mutability in Motion; Nejaime's Wine Cellars; and Peace, Love and Chocolate.
Also participating are: Red Lion Inn Gift Shop; Seven Arts Gift Shop; Sidetracks; Vlada Boutique; and Williams & Sons Country Store.
Registration open for BBPW holiday event on Dec. 7
Berkshire Business and Professional Women will hold its year-end holiday event on Monday, Dec. 7 at Balderdash Cellars, 502 East St. The hours are 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Wine tasting will take place, along with a networking activity led by Diana Brooks of Diana Brooks Consulting & Training.

Two firefighters graduate from the state fire academy
Great Barrington firefighters Jacob Borden and Joel Timm earned their nationally accredited Firefighter I and II certifications when they graduated from the Massachusetts Fire Academy on Nov. 4.
The graduation was held at Easthampton High School. It was the culmination of 240 hours of training.
Over the past four months, students attended classes two nights a week in Dalton learning about fire behavior and building construction.
