Stockbridge: FCC to install 29th minister

First Congregational Church will celebrate the installation of the Rev. Brent Damrow, the 29th minister of the historic church, at 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, followed by a reception. The church is located at 4 Main St.

Damrow has become involved in a number of community and ecumenical groups since moving to Stockbridge in January with his husband, Jon Gelldert, to begin his ministry.

Damrow grew up in Illinois. He is a graduate of Yale Divinity School and served in the United Parish in Brookline and Old South Church in Boston before coming to Stockbridge.

He worked in higher education prior to becoming a minister, most recently as associate dean of Babson College in Wellesley.

Preaching at the installation will be the Rev. Dr. Nancy S. Taylor, senior minister and CEO of Old South Church in Boston, and former moderator of the General Synod of the UCC.
