Stockbridge: High school students create photo archive of Stockbridge

Friday May 17, 2013

The Stockbridge Chamber of Commerce, The Red Lion Inn and Lavender Door Gallery of Austen Riggs Center partnered with the Monument Mountain High School Spartan Launch Program to provide learning opportunities to the students in a creative endeavor aimed at documenting the town of Stockbridge through photography.

Under the tutelage of local photographer Michael Flower, who has taught digital photography skills in the Spartan Program since its inception in 2010, 10 to 15 young photographers documented the markets, local businesses, the people behind the jobs, the natural landscape, and changing seasons.

The public exhibition of the students’ work will be hosted by the Stockbridge Library from May 21 to 26, The Lavender Door Gallery of Austen Riggs from May 21 to June 7, and the Town Offices, second floor, from May 27 to June 7.

The exhibits are open to the public for viewing.
