Stockbridge: Library exhibiting polar bear photographs

The Stockbridge Library has named R.M. Hungate as the May artist of the month.

Hungate is exhibiting a series of photographs of polar bears that he took in 2011 in Churchill, Manitoba, and will give a presentation of his work at an artist’s reception from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 12.

Hungate, the science chair at Lee Middle and High School, has exhibited his work extensively throughout the Berkshires.

Any proceeds from the sale of his work will be donated to The Great Bear Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of bears and their habitat around the world.
