Stockbridge: 'Lincoln Speaks' to debut at Chesterwood


The public oratory and private thoughts of Abraham Lincoln will come alive with the debut of "Lincoln Speaks" at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, in Daniel Chester French's studio at Chesterwood.

The program features readings by noted actors, and political and cultural leaders, including two-time Tony Award nominee Jayne Atkinson ("House of Cards"), 4th Berkshire District Rep. William "Smitty" Pignatelli, and Dennis Krausnick, director of training at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox.

The performance will also include several surprise guests.

Tickets cost $40, $35 for Chesterwood members. The program will be followed by a wine and cheese reception. Seating is limited.
