Suns, SteepleCats host games, fireworks tonight

The Pittsfield Suns and the North Adams SteepleCats both had road games called off due to rain Thursday.

The Suns and SteepleCats return to action today, as the SteepleCats are set to face the North Division leading Vermont Mountaineers at 6:30 p.m. at Joe Wolfe Field.

The Suns will look to extend their five-game winning streak when they host the Nashua Silver Knights at 7 p.m. at Wahconah Park.

Fireworks follow both games. Fans are encouraged to arrive early in order to find a seat and avoid long lines.

The Suns trailed 5-1 to Torrington before Thursday's game was suspended in the bottom of the first inning. A grand slam by Torrington's Matt Batten helped the Titans put a big number on the board early. No date for the completion of the game has been scheduled.

North Adams' game against Keene will also be rescheduled for a later date.
