Supreme Pizza and Wings in North Adams closed for health violations

Posted

NORTH ADAMS — Supreme Pizza and Wings, a popular restaurant on the corner of Eagle and Main streets, has been closed by the city's Health Department.

Director of Health James O'Brien said the restaurant was closed Wednesday due to numerous violations, ranging from food production to the building itself.

He declined to specify the restaurant's exact violations until he is able to reach its owners.

The department is still in the investigative stage, O'Brien told The Eagle on Thursday.

The restaurant, located at 117 Main St., was approved for new ownership under Savaria Family Restaurant Inc. by the city's planning board in December 2014.

It is unclear if and when the restaurant will be permitted to reopen.
