Suspect in Ludlow shooting arrested in NYC

LUDLOW >> The suspect in Ludlow's first homicide in nearly a decade has been captured in New York.

Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni and Ludlow Police Chief Pablo Madera say 20-year-old Jorge Concepcion-Pesquera, of Springfield, turned himself in to New York City police on Tuesday.

Gulluni says Concepcion-Pesquera faces charges including murder in connection with the March 13 shooting death of 26-year-old Larry Santiago.

Santiago was shot multiple times at about 12:45 a.m. while sitting in a vehicle outside a bar.

Authorities say the two men knew each other and the shooting was not random. No motive has been disclosed.

It's not clear when Concepcion-Pesquera will return to Massachusetts or if he has a lawyer.

It was Ludlow's first homicide since 2007.
