The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center will present at 4 p.m., Saturday, Stanley Donen's "Singin' in the Rain," starring Gene Kelly.

black light fun

There are not one, but two black-light parties that will get glowing Friday night in the Berkshires.

Chameleons nightclub in Pittsfield will host a Black Friday Blacklight Party with Miami's DJ Red5, spinning all the best electronica, house and trance music beginning at 9 p.m. There will be a contest for best glow look, plus prizes and holiday giveaways. DJ BK will also be hosting the second annual Black Light Party at Rascals Grill in Adams. This 21 and up party begins at 9:30, and there's no cover. There will also be prizes for "wildest guy" and "sexiest girl."

laugh out loud

New England comedian Ace Aceto brings his "Royal Flush Show" to the Laugh Lounge at 8 p.m., Saturday, at Spice Dragon in Pittsfield.

The lineup includes: "The Joker," Thomas Attila Lewis, one of the Berkshire's own; "The Jack," Dean Abbott, fresh out of the Boston and Worcester scene; "The Queen," Linda Belt, a favorite from New Jersey to Maine; "The King," Marty Caproni, a Western Mass favorite and regular at Foxwoods; and "The Ace," Ace Aceto, from Comedy Central and "The Good Catholic Boy."

rock for a cause

On Saturday at 9 p.m., local rock bands WKYD & LiveWire will host "Rockin' for Theresa," at The GEAA in Pittsfield. It is a memorial show and benefit for the family of the late Theresa Burke. Admission is $8, and donations are welcome.

Another benefit in memory of Burke will take place Saturday, Dec. 7, from 2 p.m. to midnight, at Chameleons nightclub in Pittsfield. The event is sponsored by the Berkshire Band-Itz women's roller derby team, which Burke, a.k.a. Phoenix Inferno, was a member of. Admission is $10, and the event will feature more than 20 bands. Unwrapped gifts will also be accepted for Burke's 5-year-old daughter.

Performers include: Sarah Elizabeth Rayner, Jess Hume, Exovox, Colin Moran of The Damaged, Nice Try Kid, Sifer, Dharma & Friends, Hall of Rock, Order of the Circle, Goblet, Wandering Oak, Polysonic Joy, Be the Seen, Damsel in This Dress, Matchstick Architects, Shane Daoust, Amerikan Citizens, Immune Friction, Josef X. Haryanto, Leap the Dips, From Battlefield to Sanctuary, Noumenon, The Remones and more.
