Due to the holiday, this month's First Fridays Artswalk in Pittsfield will be held from 5 to 8 tonight. There will be art exhibits featuring work by more than 30 regional artists and live music as well. The Dream Away Lodge in Becket is offering a star-spangled menu of music through the weekend. Most performances start around 8 p.m. Tonight, catch the Pioneer Valley-born Lexi Weege (reverbnation.com/lexiweege); locals Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion (sarahleeandjohnny.com) will be joined by The Winterpills (winterpills.com) and Milton (miltonmusic.com) on Friday; Bobby Sweet (bobbysweet.com) swings by Saturday, and Rev Tor (revtor.com) plays Sunday. All musicians play for tips, so feed the jar.
Also happening in Becket, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival is offering a red hot Under 35 Friday event. In addition to offering $19 tickets for its dance performances, which are accompanied by a Blue Q swag bag, there will be a festive after-show party with DJ BFG spinning in the Pillow Café, a fire pit and s'mores station. On Saturday night, One Drum, a roots-reggae band from Hartford, Conn., is coming out to The Brick House Pub in Housatonic to share the vibes. Also happening in South County on Saturday night is a Fifth of July Dance Party with DJ BFG (soundcloud.com/dj-bfg). Allium restaurant and bar will host the event, which starts at 10. No cover for this age 21 and up fiesta. The overhead door will be open for a taste of the al fresco life.
Local rockers Live Wire (http://on.fb.me/1pGXdeE) will play a free outdoor summer concert from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday at the Adams Visitors Center. There will be food and beer for purchase.
Berkshire Creative and Berkshire Botanical Garden team up from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday to present SPARK!
