Also on Friday, from 5 to 8 p.m., is November's First Fridays Artswalk in the Upstreet Cultural District of Pittsfield.

More than 20 different art shows will take place, featuring work by more than 30 accomplished regional artists. Artswalk chairwoman Mary McGinnis will lead a free guided tour of highlighted new art shows and artists, kicking off at 5:30 p.m. at Gallery 25, located at 25 Union St.

At 8 p.m., Gallery W at the Whitney Center for the Arts, 42 Wendell Ave., will host their first after-Artswalk party until 10 p.m., immediately after the opening of its "Fibrous" exhibition. Pizza and beverages will be served.

Berkshire Young Professionals will host a Networking Social from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at The Infield, 10 Lyman St., in Pittsfield.

The indoor recreational facility features space to enjoy baseball, softball and soccer anytime of the year. Attendees will enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres, great company and fun group activities.

The Votre Soiree Dance Club will host its November ballroom dance Friday night at the Polish Falcons Hall, 31 Bel Air Ave., Pittsfield. Anyone interested in setting up the dance hall with decorations and refreshments should meet at 6 p.m. A social "hour" begins at 7, with dancing with the band Champagne Jam from 7:30 to 10:30. Singles and couples are welcome. Admission is $10 at the door. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and snack raffle.

rock ‘n' roll

The old Crane stationery factory on Flansburg Avenue in Dalton will host a "Rock ‘n' Roll Carousel Benefit Concert" for the Berkshire Carousel project from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Scheduled to perform are Just-n-Kace, Mountain Breeze, Phil N The Void, Rushmore and Black Water.
