Third Thursday: League of Women Voters invites you to sign card for the people of Charlottesville

PITTSFIELD — Members of the League of Women Voters Central Berkshire Unit will be creating a card of support to the people of Charlotesville, Va., in response to recent events.

During tonight's Third Thursdays event, the group invites people to visit the table on North Street near Bradford Street to sign the card. 

League members will also be available to assist attendees in registering to vote and learn the names of candidates running in the upcoming municipal election. 

The League of Women Voters of Massachusetts is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government and works to increase understanding of major public policy issues.

Third Thursdays in downtown Pittsfield is a street festival held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays throughout the summer featuring arts, food and community events.
