April 30, 1950: Attorney L. George Reder of Pollock Avenue, Pittsfield, was heading the Pittsfield Boy Scouts house-to-house salvage drive. Proceeds from the sales of all salvageable waste would be used to send Scouts to the national jamboree in Pennsylvania and to Camp Eagle during the summer.
