NORTH ADAMS -- Over 150 student limbs will flex as one tomorrow evening as Drury high School's 38-member gymnastic team presents its annual exhibition here. WILLIAMSTOWN -- Airman James H. Nicklen, son of Mrs. Betty P. Green of 42 South St. is being reassigned to Chanute Air Force Base in Illinois, the Air Force said today. The local man just completed his basic military training at Lackland AF, San Antonio, Texas. He is a 1963 graduate of Mt. Greylock Regional High School. 25 years ago today
NORTH ADAMS -- The 1988-89 McCann Tech girls' high school basketball team has closed out its season. Team members are Jen Bounds, Becky Roberts, Brenda Haring, Shannon Leavens, Alyse Marks, Jennifer James, Diane Fagley, Leslie Garvie, Angie Bushika. The coach is Bob Gephardt, assisted by Pete Coulin. Tanya Bachand is manager.
ADAMS -- William Greilich, the proprietor of Greilich's Meat market in Adams, has been spending the past three weeks grinding about 1,200 pounds of lean pork through his grinders especially for the celebrants of Easter as he prepares kielbasa for those Easter meals -- some kielbasas weighing upward of two pounds.

ADAMS -- Just because Stacy Varellas of North Adams won $100,000 last week, that doesn't mean she'll be leaving the Pizza House business she co-owns with her husband, Jim. In fact, they won't be changing much at all.
"It's not a small amount, but it's not such a big amount," she said Wednesday while working at the Adams Pizza House. "It's not a million, but it's definitely nice."
NORTH ADAMS -- The North Adams Girls' Grade 3-4 All Star basketball team finished its season with the best record in its division in all of Berkshire County. It ended up 20-5. The girls won first place in the Adams Tournament and the Great Barrington Round Robin. Members of the team are: Haleigh Hazard, Mary Nugent, Amber Iacuessa, Bethani Hakes, Lyndsey DeGrenier, Nicola Bona, Mackenzie Bona, Chelsea O'Neil, Samantha Andrews, and Allison DeGrenier. Coaches are Chad DeGrenier and Mark Iacuessa.
