Toddler dies after being pulled from family's pool north of Boston


DANVERS, Mass. (AP) — A 2-year-old boy pulled from his family's swimming pool in Danvers has died.

The Essex District Attorney's office said in a statement Friday that Griffin Lamar died at Boston's Children's Hospital.

The child was discovered in the in-ground pool shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday by family members who immediately began CPR. Emergency personnel brought the boy to Beverly Hospital and he was later flown to the Children's Hospital.

Danvers police and state detectives assigned to the district attorney's office are investigating.
