Town Players of Pittsfield: ‘God of Carnage’ auditions

PITTSFIELD -- Town Players of Pittsfield is holding auditions tonight and Thursday for a reading of Yasmina Reza’s "God of Carnage."

Auditions both nights begin at 7 at the Whitney Center for the Arts, 42 Wendell Ave.

The cast consists of two men and two women. The reading will be presented on Sunday afternoon July 27. Matt Barbas is directing.

In this 2009 Tony Award-winning play, a playground altercation between two 11-year-old boys brings together two sets of Brooklyn parents for a meeting to resolve the matter. At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses, and the rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off.
