Town Players of Pittsfield seeking actors for radio-parody reading

Posted

PITTSFIELD >> Four women and four men who enjoy snappy dialogue and unbelievably cheesy humor are needed for roles in a July 31 staged play reading presented by Town Players of Pittsfield.

Auditions for "Jake Revolver, Freelance Secret Agent" by Matthew Konkel begin 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Whitney Center for the Arts, 42 Wendell Ave.

Jerry Greene is directing.

The play, a parody of the 1940s radio-noir genre, asks the question "Will Jake be able to unmask the mysterious criminal who has murdered his Narrator, while struggling to deal with romance, unrelieved guilt, commercial breaks, and a confusing script?"
