Town Players of Pittsfield to stage variety show "Christmastime in the City 2"


PITTSFIELD — Town Players of Pittsfield will present its annual holiday variety show this weekend at the Whitney Center for the Arts.

This year's show, "Christmastime in the City 2," is directed by Monica Bliss with musical accompaniment by Jeff Hunt.

This year's show includes music, theater, dance, stand-up comedy, spoken word, and poetry, all with a holiday twist. There will be soloists, instrumentalists, chorale, a folk group and singer-songwriters. Broadway, opera, pop and country will all be represented. With cabaret seating, holiday snacks and beverages will be available at concessions and can be enjoyed during the show.

The cast includes : Alanna Bassett, Marcella Bradway, Diedre Bollinger, Bob Bottume, Ann-Marie Desautelle, Joe Gerard. Penelope Hicks, Bev Krol, Erin Laundry, Thomas Attila Lewis, Colleen Marion, Steve Mole, Jeanne Roy, Nancy Schaffer, Joseph Sicotte, Jenn Smith, Stan Spencer, Rob Weisberger, and Kevin Paul Wixsom.

The show will be presented at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Whitney Center for the Arts, 42 Wendell Ave., Pittsfield.

Tickets are $15; $12 for seniors, students and groups of 10+; and $10 for members of Town Players.
