Town Players sets reading of comedy sequel


PITTSFIELD >> There is a sequel to "Wedding Secrets." It's called "Wedding Secrets II — Samantha's Turn," and it will be given a staged reading at 2 p.m. on Aug. 28 at the Whitney Center for the Arts, 42 Wendell Ave.

Joe Starzyk, who wrote the play, also is directing.

Familiar characters and some new ones advance the story of the Devlin and Thompson families as X Men, smurfs, cougar grandmas, special brownies, and lots more ties fill up the bed and breakfast known as the Anything Goes Inn.

The cast includes Jerry Greene, Leah Marie Parker, Mary Daigneault, Nancy Hammell, Deborah Mazzone, Patricia Duckworth, Kelsy Nevins, Will Gallagher, Jon Marks, Bill Douglas, Jean Remy Monnay, Jackie DeGiorgis, and Starzyk.

The play is suitable for ages 14 and up.
