Two injured in three-car crash in Great Barrington

GREAT BARRINGTON -- Two people suffered minor injuries Thursday morning in a three-car accident on Route 41, according to Great Barrington Police.

Gregory K. Steele, 59, of Housatonic, was heading east on Division Street about 9 a.m. when he went through a flashing red light and stop sign and struck a vehicle driven by Judith Wheeler, 54, also of Housatonic.

Wheeler's vehicle then struck a northbound vehicle on Route 41 driven by Jenny M. Montague, 52, of New Lebanon, N.Y.

Wheeler and Montague were transported to Fairview Hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries.

All three cars were towed from the scene.

Investigating officer Adam Carlotto cited Steele for failure to stop for a flashing red light and stop sign.
