Unconscious woman found at Auburn Mall parking lot dies


AUBURN, Mass. (AP) -- Authorities say a woman found unconscious and bleeding under a car in the parking lot at the Auburn Mall has died.

Authorities responding to 911 calls found the woman at about 4 p.m. Tuesday. Police say the mall was busy at the time.

She was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

A spokesman for the Worcester district attorney’s office says she later died.

No additional details, including the woman’s name and age, were immediately released.

Mall management said in a statement that they are cooperating with the investigation and their prayers are with the victim’s family and friends.
