Vermont hospital: Pittsfield, Mass., woman in fair condition after snowmobile crash

Vermont State Police say a Pittsfield, Mass., woman was injured when the snowmobile she was driving collided with a tree.

Chelsea Hawksley, 27, was transported from the crash site in Woodford, Vt., to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, Vt., on Thursday evening, state police announced over the weekend. The extent of her injuries wasn't immediately available, but hospital officials said she was in fair condition Monday morning.

Hawksley was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The snowmobile -- a 2012 Skidoo 600 -- was totaled.
