Wahconah and Mount Everett didn't get to play for championships Saturday after all.

Both softball teams saw their Western Massachusetts finals postponed by heavy rain that blanketed the region Friday. The Eagles will now play for a Division III crown against Turners Falls today at 2:30 p.m., while the Warriors face Belchertown for the Division II crown Tuesday. Both games are at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.

Mount Greylock's baseball team will face Greenfield at 1:15 p.m. today on the same campus in the Division II title game that was postponed on Friday.

"I was kind of disappointed," said Everett pitcher Alicia Bazonski. "We were all looking forward to playing."

Bazonski is one of four Player of the Week candidates in this week's online poll after striking out 30 in two playoff wins leading up to the championship. Wahconah's Bizzy King got a nod for her role in the Warriors' playoff win over Frontier. Greylock baseball player Ian Brink and Monument girls tennis player Courtney Freadman are also on the ballot at www.berkshireeagle.com/sports. Voting ends today at 6 p.m.
