What is open, what is closed on Thanksgiving?


Thanksgiving, a legal holiday in Massachusetts, is being observed Thursday, Nov. 22. A list of what is open or closed follows:

Retail stores: Most closed.

Berkshire Mall: Closed, except for Regal Cinemas.

Lee Premium Outlets: Closed.

Liquor stores: Closed.

Banks: Closed.

Post offices: Closed; no mail delivery.

City, county, state offices: Closed.

Manufacturing: Most are closed.

Libraries: Closed.

Berkshire Community College: Closed.

Berkshire Museum: Closed.

Clark Art Institute, Williamstown: Closed.

Norman Rockwell Museum, Stockbridge: Closed.

Hancock Shaker Village: Closed.

Mass MoCA, North Adams: Closed.

Williams College Museum of Art, Williamstown: Closed.

BRTA: Closed; no buses running.

Elder Services: Closed.

Covanta Inc.: Closed.

Allied Waste: Closed. Trash normally collected Thursday will be collected Friday. Trash normally collected Friday will be collected Saturday. The regular collection schedule will resume on Monday.

Eagle: Business office closed. Circulation Department open from 7 to 10 a.m. (496-6355). Newsroom opens at 5 p.m. (496-6236).
