Williams College cross country teams earn NCAA regional titles
PORTLAND, Maine -- Williams College's cross country teams swept the team championships at the NCAA New England regional meet at the University of Southern Maine on Saturday. The Eph men held off Middlebury and MIT for the team championship, as did Williams' women.
Eph senior Kaleigh Kenny won the women's race in 21 minutes, 2.18 seconds, while Williams' Colin Cotton and Chris Lee were second and third, respectively, in the men's race.
MCLA's Anthony Cancilla, running individually, placed 182nd for the Trailblazer men. Monica Conlin was MCLA's top female finisher.
MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -- The MCLA men rallied from a 16-point halftime deficit, beating the Coast Guard Academy 57-56 in the Wesleyan Tip-Off Classic consolation game.
John Jones' 18 points led the way for the Trailblazers (1-1), with Ruben DelRosario scoring 11 more.
KEENE, N.H. -- MCLA's women trounced Green Mountain 79-17 in the Keene State Tip-Off Classic. The ‘Blazer women are now 1-1 with the huge win.
Kaitlyn Chenevert led MCLA with 13 points, with Courtney Durivage notching 12 points and nine rebounds.
WILLIAMSTOWN -- The Eph women beat Babson 61-42 in Williams' home opener.
WILLAMSTOWN -- The Ephs routed Wesleyan 6-2 on Saturday, with six different players -- Hannah Beattie, Cristina Bravi, Caitlin Conlon, Machaela Levine, Andree Heller and Caitlin Buckley -- scoring for Williams.
