NORTH ADAMS — A Williams College student is facing drug charges after a raid on his room turned up marijuana, ecstasy and mushrooms, according to police.

Ethan Jacobs, 22, was arrested March 19 following the search of his Chadbourne House room, according to a police report filed by Williamstown Police Officer Shuan William.

Officers discovered jars and gallon ziplock bags containing marijuana, "numerous types of LSD," and some mushrooms. The quantity of each drug was not specific in William's statement.

Evidence and paraphernalia related to the "manufacturing, packaging, and distribution" of the drugs also was found, police said.

Jacobs pleaded not guilty in Northern Berkshire District Court on Wednesday to single counts of class B drug possession with intent to distribute, class C drug possession with intent to distribute, and class D drug possession with intent to distribute.

Judge Paul Vrabel released Jacobs on personal recognizance. He is scheduled to reappear in court on April 20 for a pretrial hearing.
