Williams men's hockey wins; Eph women tie


WILLIAMSTOWN -- A three-goal third period lifted the Williams men's hockey team past Manhattanville 4-1 on Friday night.

Three of the Ephs' (9-2-2) goals came on the power play -- two of those in the third. Greg Johnson and Matt Doyle picked up power-play goals.

George Hunkele scored a power-play goal for Williams in the second period. Nick Anderson also scored in the third for the Ephs.

Sean Dougherty made 21 saves for Williams.

CLINTON, N.Y. -- Cristina Bravi's goal at the 18:43 mark of the third period allowed Williams to salvage a 4-4 tie at Hamilton.

With Eph goalie Chloe Billadeau (16 saves) pulled in the closing minutes for an extra skater, Bravi beat Hamilton goalie Sarah Schuchardt off assists from Michaela Levine and Emily Krueger.

Gabrielle Vukasin scored in the first period for the Ephs, with Natalie Bernstein making it a 2-0 game for Williams in the second. Hamilton tied it at 2 in the third, and scored twice after Hanna Beattie's goal gave Williams a 3-2 lead. That set up Bravi's heroics.
