Williams sweeps in weekend swimming

WILLIAMSTOWN -- The Williams College swim teams wrapped up the dual meet season by sweeping Middlebury on Saturday.

The Eph men beat the Panthers 197-101 while the women won 185-106.

The men’s meet was highlighted by a double win in diving by Rohan Bhatt, who finished first in the 1 and 3-meter events.

For the women, freshman Lauren Jones won the 100 backstroke and the 1,000 freestyle.

In her final regular-season home meet, captain Aly Levine won the 100 butterfly.

JACKSON, N.H. -- The Williams ski team finished seventh in this weekend’s University of New Hampshire Carninval.

The University of Vermont won the team title.

Shannon Campbell was eighth for Williams in the slalom and Sarah Cottrill was 19th in the giant slalom. On the men’s side, Dylan Thomas was 21st in the slalom.

The top Williams finishers in the final nordic events were Will Wicherski (18th) for the men and Hannah Cole (17th) for the women.

Everett girls 66, St. Joseph 26

PITTSFIELD -- The Eagles jumped all over the home team, scoring an 18-1 lead after a quarter on Friday night. Deseraye Conaway led the way with 15 for Everett.
