Williamstown: 1753 House to host carol sing

Wednesday December 12, 2012

After taking two years off to properly rebuild its fireplace and chimney, the 1753 House on Field Park will once again host a free Christmas Carol Sing at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22. Rain/snow date is Dec. 23.

Gail M. Burns, who has led the caroling since 1980, will be joined this year by Deb Burns. Carol books are provided, the Williams Inn sends over hot mulled cider, and a roaring blaze will fill the fireplace crafted by Bart van Luling.

The 1753 House is located in Field Park in between the Williams Inn and the Milne Public Library at the northern intersection of Routes 2 and 7. Parking is available at the Inn and the Library.

There is no heat or electricity in the ‘53 House, so dress warmly and bring a candle to see by.
