The Williamstown Youth Center After School Program has received a regular license from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.

This two-year license is the first regular license that the after-school program has ever achieved and reflects the quality of its program and its new facility.

The after-school program had achieved a six-month provisional license in November immediately before its move to its new building on School Street.

In order to receive a regular license to operate a large group and school age child care program, the Youth Center needed to meet many criteria.

These criteria include the quality of interactions between children and staff, appropriateness of activities, equipment and materials that are employed by the program, quality of the facility, appropriate inspections, etc.
