Williamstown: Bernice Lewis to lead teen songwriting workshop

Posted
Thursday July 25, 2013

Teens are invited to get their wheels spinning and their guitars strumming for a workshop with nationally known musician and songwriter Bernice Lewis from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, at the Milne Public Library.

Participants can bring their instrument to jam, a favorite CD, and/or a song they’ve written. This is an opportunity to listen and talk about music, and to learn how to create a song.

Lewis will share her expertise on what makes a song work, how to edit songs that are already written, and what it means to be a songwriter today.

A sign up sheet is located in the children’s room or call (413) 458-5369 to register. To find out more about Lewis, visit www.bernicelewis.com.
