Tuesday April 23, 2013

Higher Ground will return to the Spruces Mobile Home Park on Main Street to assist the residents in a "spring cleaning" effort on Saturday, April 27.

Community members, Higher Ground staff, volunteers and board members will be joined by Williams College students, participating in Williams "Great Day of Service," in the park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. removing debris and other items Spruces residents designate for disposal.

Volunteers should bring gloves and wear appropriate clothing.

Information is available through the Higher Ground office at (413) 458-5714 or via email at HGWilliamstown@gmail.com.

Higher Ground was formed in September 2011 as a part of the community response to the devastation wrought by Tropical Storm Irene, whose flood waters destroyed 150 homes and left over 200 people homeless.
