Williamstown: Democrats to caucus Feb. 8

The Williamstown Democratic Party will hold a caucus promptly at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, in the Select Board meeting room, first floor, Municipal Building, 31 North St. Parking is available with ramp access via the rear door.

Six delegates and three alternates will be elected to the Massachusetts Democratic Party’s 2014 Nominating Convention to be held Friday and Saturday, June 13 and 14, at the DCU Center in Worcester.

The public may attend the caucus, but in order to vote or to be elected a delegate, a person has to have been registered to vote Democratic in Williamstown by Jan. 31, 2014.

To be elected a delegate, a person has to attend the caucus unless they are in active service in the US armed forces and notify Chairman Jim Mahon at jmahon@williams.edu beforehand.

Caucus registration begins at 9:45 a.m. and closes at 10:15 a.m.
