Williamstown: Library registering for summer reading programs

Posted

The Milne Public Library has begun registration for its Summer Reading Program, "Fizz Boom Read," to run June 30 through Aug. 15.

Children can earn a variety of prizes by bringing their reading logs into the library throughout the summer. As part of the program, Pinto Bella Hoops will offer a hula hooping workshop at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 28.

In addition, sign-up has begun for the Teen Summer Reading program, "Spark A Reaction." Students entering grades 7 through 12 are eligible to sign up, keep a reading log, enter weekly raffle drawings, and participate in free, hands-on creative workshops.

The first workshop is "Make Your Own Comic Book," from 10 to 11:30 a.m. July 7 to 11. Early registration is recommended.

Copies of the Mount Greylock required reading books will also be on hand for students to check out.
