Williamstown man arrested in Vermont

A Williamstown man was arrested early Saturday by Vermont State Police officers on domestic assault charges after allegedly striking his wife and sister off Risky Ranch Road in Stamford.
According to a report from the Vermont State Police, David Fachini, 22, became violent at about 1 a.m. Saturday in an area typically used for four-wheeling.
When witnesses tried to intervene, Fachini allegedly turned on them as well.
The victims sustained facial injuries, but refused medical treatment, according to police.
Vermont State Police do not release the names of victims in domestic assault cases.
Fachini is being held in Bennington on two misdemeanor counts of domestic assault on $5,000 bail. He will face the charges in Benn ington County Criminal Court.
Police said alcohol was a contributing factor.
Vermont State Police coordinated with Williamstown Police and North Adams Police due to other charges he is facing in Massachusetts.
