Williamstown: Mount Greylock students to perform musical

Posted

Mount Greylock Regional School District will present its annual musical theater production at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 18 and 19, at the '62 Centre for Theatre and Dance at Williams College.

This year's production, "Nice Work If You Can Get It," features the music of George and Ira Gershwin.

Set in New York in the 1920s, the show tells the story of a band of bootleggers run by the illusive Brownbeard, looking for a place to stash a shipment of illegal gin.

The production involves over 40 members of the Mount Greylock student body as actors, singers, pit musicians, and crew members, and is directed by faculty member Jeffrey Welch.

Tickets cost $6 for students and seniors and $8 for adults and will be available at the door.
