Williamstown: Organizations to hold Repair Cafe

Posted

The South Williamstown Community Association and the Williamstown Rural Lands Foundation are co-sponsoring Williamstown's first Repair Cafe from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at Sheep Hill, 671 Cold Spring Road, Route 7.

Volunteer "fixers" will be standing by with tools, sewing machines and darning needles ready to fix broken lamps, socks with holes, blades that have seen sharper days, and bicycles needing a little tenderness.

The Repair Cafe is also offering music, refreshments and advice. Standing by will be a lawyer, veterinarian, genealogist, elder services specialist, gardener, realtor, and computer person.

Repairs are free, however donations are welcome.

To be a volunteer "fixer" or for more information, call Bette Craig at 413-458-5257 or email swca32@gmail.com.
