Tuesday October 2, 2012

Williams College will host Real Food Update, a student presentation and panel discussion, at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3, in Paresky Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public. An apple crisp social will follow the panel discussion.

Williams College students will present a report on the state of real food.

The panel discussion features Jacob Addelson ‘14; Bob Volpi, director of Williams College Dining Services; Morgan Hartman of Black Queen Angus Farm; Stephanie Boyd, director of the Zilkha Center for Environmental Initiatives; and Anim Steel ‘94, founder and director of Real Food Generation.

Real Food Generation seeks to increase the procurement of real food at colleges and universities. The group defines real food as coming from local and community-based, fair, humane, and ecologically sound food sources.
