Jane Sarouhan, vice president of The Center for Interim Programs in Northampton, will lead an information session for interested parents and students, "The Gap Year Option: What Is It, and Is It For You?" at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13.

This event is sponsored by the Mount Greylock PTO and will be held in the meeting room at Mount Greylock School, 1781 Cold Spring Road.

Parents and teens who are curious about the possibilities, strategies, costs, and benefits of taking a "gap year" in between high school and college are invited to attend.

Sarouhan will be joined by four Williams College students who took "gap years" before coming to Williams. The panel will share options, tips, and real-life experiences.
