Williamstown: Panel to discuss youth substance abuse prevention
The Mount Greylock Regional School PTO and the Northern Berkshire Community Coalition will present "What's the Harm?," a community discussion about preventing youth substance abuse, at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, at Mount Greylock.
Speakers include Dr. Jennifer Michaels, medical director of the Brien Center; Dr. Thomas Hyde, retired pediatrician; Jacob Schutz, Mount Greylock vice principal; Berkshire County District Attorney David Capeless; members of Williamstown and Lanesborough Police Departments; and Wendy Penner, director of prevention programs at nbCC.
This event is free and open to the public. Pizza will be provided at 6 p.m., followed by the presentation. Child care is available upon request.
Transportation is available from North Adams to and from the event at Mount Greylock. Space is limited. To reserve a spot, contact The Family Place at nbCC, 413-663-7588, or indicate transportation needs on the registration form.
