Williamstown: Performance to raise funds for music students

A Williams College winter study class, led by local musician and music educator Andy Kelly, will offer a musical performance to raise funds to assist Pittsfield Public School students with obtaining musical instruments.

The show will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, at Williams College's Goodrich Hall, Main Street.

The class has been studying street performance, jazz improvisation and generally "learning the ropes" surrounding putting together a successful musical show.

The show is free to attend, but the performers will act as though they are busking on a street, thus asking for "tips." All "tips" will be donated to the Pittsfield music students.

For more information, call Kelly at 413-281-2784.
